January 2006, the departmental Academic Committee took a
decision for the formation of the |

DU-BMB Trust and approved its constitution. The objectives
of the DU-BMB Trust are,among |
|
others, to provide financial assistance to the Department of
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology |
|
at the University of Dhaka in its endeavor to improve the
academic, research and infrastructure |
|
development (for details, visit http://bmbudhaka.net/DU-BMB
TRUST). An Ad-hoc Committee |
|
of the Board of Trustees has been formed at the
Academic Committee meeting.On
23 February |
|
2006, a Bank Account has been opened under DU-BMB
Trust Fund at the Bank
Asia Ltd.,House |
|
No. 13, Road No.5, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1207,
Bangladesh. The account (number:02136000008) |

will be jointly operated by the Chairman and the
Member Finance of the
Board of Trustees.The |
|
teachers, alumni and students of the
department, and an organization have already
contributed |

to the DU-BMB Trust Fund that has a balance of
Tk.12,00,000/- (twelve lakhs) as
of today, |
